Investment routes

St. Kitts & Nevis citizenship by investment

Established in 1984, this is the oldest citizenship by investment programme in the world. Applicants choose one of the following routes.

Sustainable Island State Contribution

A non-refundable contribution starting at USD 250,000 to the SISC fund, covering a family of up to four. Each additional dependent adds USD 75,000.

Approved Public Benefit Project

A non-refundable contribution of at least USD 250,000 to a public benefit unit within an Approved Public Benefit Project.

Government-approved real estate

From USD 400,000 into approved real estate — five-star hotels and resorts included — resaleable after seven years, with rental income of roughly 2–5% per annum.

Approved private homes

USD 400,000 into an approved private condominium unit, or USD 800,000 into an approved private single-family home.

Who you can include

  • A spouse of any age may be included as a dependent on the main applicant's application.
  • Dependent children up to the age of 30 qualify, provided they are unmarried and, where over 18, financially dependent or in full-time education.
  • Parents and grandparents of the main applicant or spouse aged 55 and above may be included as dependents.
  • Citizenship granted under this programme is permanent and not subject to renewal, and it passes automatically to future generations born after naturalisation.

Due diligence and government processing fees are paid on submission of the completed application file.

Contribution or investment

The SISC contribution or real estate investment — the largest instalment — is due only once government approval in principle has been issued.

Due diligence & processing fees

Due diligence fees cover the investigation and evaluation of your application before completion, and vary with family structure and investment option. Processing fees are levied by the government for reviewing the file. These generally range between USD 10,000 and USD 20,000 per applicant.

Frequently asked questions

Are there fees for including children above 18?+

For children aged 0 to 30 the standard costs apply — application fee, passport fee and government due diligence. Dependents over 30 carry an additional USD 10,000 in government fees.

Are there residency requirements?+

No. St. Kitts & Nevis imposes no physical residence requirement. Passing due diligence and submitting complete documentation is sufficient.

How long does the process take?+

Most files are approved and passports issued within 4 - 6 months of a complete submission.
